They are becoming increasingly rare, unrestored, and perfectly preserved Mercedes-Benz models from the 123-series. This 200, newly delivered in Italy by Rodaggio Mercedes Benz Urbano in Pistoia (I), is such an outstanding example. The condition of the almost complete factory paint, the interior, but certainly also the untouched body and chassis reflects the low mileage of only 30.744Km. Dent and scratch free, not even stone chips on the hood. The original windshield and the unused spare wheel are certainly worth mentioning. The tectyl applied before delivery and the anti-rust treatment applied from factory, the southern climate but also the care of the previous owner contributed to the exceptional condition.
Options do not hinder the purity of this 200, “Buchhalter Ausstattung” is the nice name that our eastern neighbors use for a car with no or almost no options. Sr. Rocco Gaeteno only ordered heat-resistant glass all around with a sunshade band in the windshield and had air conditioning installed afterwards. An option that was often not ordered “ab Werk” in Italy because of the price tag.
