A stunning Citroën ID 19 from 1963, model year 1964 in largely original condition. Purchased about 2 years ago as a stainless, rust-free, since 2005 from France imported car but with a lots of patina. At the time it was largely in the factory paint, only on the right side were both doors and the rear panel re-sprayed. Due to the poor quality of this paintwork, the various damages all around, the mounted fog-lights on the front wings and the Pallas handle on the hood, it was decided after deliberation to dismantle al the body panels. We sanded all parts, on the outside only, down to bare metal and gave them a high-quality new finish. To preserve as much as possible originality, the insides of the doors, trunk lid and hood were polished and detailed but not repainted. The pigmented roof has also been preserved. The result is a very straight ID with wonderful panel fittings, which certainly don’t give one the impression of restored car.
Charming and beautiful original interior. Beautiful and above all undamaged dashboard, headliner due to the well-known sagging, replaced, as well as the front and rear floor mats. Absolutely rust-free chassis. An extensive photo report that we made immediately after purchase, which clearly demonstrates the original condition, is available on request. Technically prepared by a Dutch ID/DS specialist and perfectly functioning. Various factory stamps and labels can still be found under the hood and on the insides of the doors. We added the label which was stuck under the right C-pillar (photos 344 and 345) showing factory information to the original documents.
