This in Meckenheim (Germany) newly delivered Mercedes 280TE W123, equipped with nearly full options, is still in excellent original condition despite having covered over 136,900 km. It has withstood the test of time remarkably well, thanks in large part to a thorough anti-rust treatment from new. The largely original paintwork, like the beautiful velour interior, shows hardly any signs of wear or damage. According to our paint thickness measuring machine the lower part of the right rear fender and the left rear fender where repainted somewhere in he past.

The option list, as shown below, is exceptionally long. Even the most expensive radio option at the time—the Radio Becker Mexico Cassette electronic Vollstereo Kurier, costing over DM 2,000—was selected.

The mileage and service history are fully documented. The service book is completely stamped from its time in Germany, and various German TÜV and Dutch APK inspection reports, as well as numerous maintenance invoices, are present. The National Auto Pass also records the mileage annually since October 2008, when it was registered in the Netherlands.

Technically, the car has been thoroughly maintained, including an engine-out reseal, replacement of the rear hydraulic suspension spheres, and servicing of the air conditioning system. It has been fitted with new Dunlop Classic tires in size 195/70X14, the same brand the car originally left the factory with.

This is the top model of the W123 T-Class, and hardly any examples that meet our originality criteria can still be found on the current market.
