A 150 hp Ford Escort RS2000 16V DOHC, coming from its first German owner, with only 26,312 km. This example has withstood the test of time beautifully – finished in its original factory paint, completely rust- and accident-free, and without any notable flaws to the paintwork or interior.
Originally purchased new by Mr. Merkl (born in 1938) from Waltenhofen, ordered through and delivered by Ford main dealer Autohaus Haggenmüller GmbH in Kempten, Allgäu. The suspension, chassis, engine bay, and trunk compartment are all in pristine original condition. The original factory wax is still generously present on the underside and chassis. Our extensive photo documentation reveals every detail – partly right down to the flawless inner cavities.
Clearly maintained with great care and affection, this RS comes complete with all original manuals, the original Fahrzeugbrief (registration document) confirming the single ownership, two original keys, and supporting documents verifying the mileage. Factory-equipped with tinted glass all around, manual glass sliding/tilting sunroof, RDS radio-cassette, metallic paint, and Recaro sport seats.
The RS2000 was Ford’s direct answer to the GTI and GSI models – and fully holds its own in terms of driving pleasure and sporty performance.
