An exceptionally original Italian Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign 4.2 from 1984, showing only 14,516 kilometres, offered to us by its second owner, Signor Gomiero, a private collector from the Veneto region. He had purchased the car a few years ago from the first owner and had driven it less than 1,000 kilometres since. When we personally inspected the car in Stra, near Venice, we were truly amazed by its outstanding condition.
The car was originally delivered by Concessionaria Buratti in Florence to Signor Petrilli, who ordered the Sovereign in the distinctive, stylish and elegant colour combination of Cobalt Blue with biscuit leather interior.
The bodywork remains entirely in its factory-original paint, the interior is spotless, and all chrome details are in exceptional condition. Technically, the car was fully recommissioned by the previous owner after a long period of storage. At the time of our purchase, it still wore its original Pirelli tyres, which we replaced — due to their age of more than 40 years — with correct Pirelli tyres of the same type. The original tyres, which form an important part of the car’s documented history, have been carefully preserved and are included with the sale. We have also replaced both fuel tanks and fuel pumps.
All original books, documents, and keys are present. It is also remarkable that the “Scheda Consegna”, the Leyland Italia delivery form to Jaguar dealer Buratti in Florence, has been preserved.
