Beautiful 230TE, delivered new by Mercedes-Benz dealer RKG in Bonn, Germany, to its first owner, Mr. Krings, also resident in Bonn. Deregistered since 17 November 2011 and acquired by us in 2020. With a mileage of only 57,084 kilometres, we sold the car to its second owner, a doctor from Cologne. Some time later, he traded it in with us for a W123 T-model, after which the 230TE found a new “care-taker” within our client base: a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast. When he decided to reduce his collection, we were able to reacquire the car from him. After equipping the vehicle with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the aforementioned second owner, the doctor from Cologne, purchased it back from us once again. Recently, we were able to acquire it once more from this same owner, meaning the ownership history has remained unchanged.
With the optional and, in my opinion, most attractive “manhole cover” alloy wheels combined with the tinted glass and the elegant exterior colour Perlmuttgrau Metallic, this T-model presents itself as a particularly refined example. Mr. Krings and the two subsequent owners cared for the car with visible dedication and great attention. The interior is immaculate and the paintwork shows hardly any signs of wear. The left front wing and the right rear door were repainted once in the past. As the colour difference of the rear door bothered us, we had the entire right-hand side professionally repainted two years ago. Absolutely accident-free; no body panels have been replaced. The photographs of the underside leave nothing to be desired and provide a clear and transparent impression of its exceptionally fine condition.
