Once again, we are pleased to present a special Mercedes-Benz 300 SL with a mileage of just 54,203 kilometres. Finished in the rare colour combination of Surf Blue (900), complemented by a blue Karo cloth interior and a dark blue fabric soft top. Coming from its second owner, Mr Späth, born in 1942, who purchased the Mercedes in 1988 as a one-year-old car and retained ownership for over 37 years.
The exceptionally low mileage is reflected in the condition of this Mercedes. The bodywork is completely accident- and rust-free and, with the exception of the right front wing and right door, remains entirely in its original factory paint.
The interior is equally exceptional. The original Karo cloth upholstery shows hardly any signs of use. The same applies to the dashboard, door panels and all other interior components.
The folder containing all original booklets and documentation is present, including the partially stamped service booklet, the factory data card, the original German registration document (Fahrzeugbrief), as well as various maintenance invoices and inspection reports. According to the factory data card, the Mercedes was delivered new with the following optional equipment:
