A first-generation Toyota RAV4 with just 29,448 kilometres, from its second German owner, supported by an exceptionally well-documented history.
Our Toyota RAV4 was delivered new on 30 January 1997 by Toyota West-Garage Buchenroth in Ludwigsburg to Mr. Rahm, born in 1949, from Stuttgart. The vehicle remained in his ownership for almost twenty-eight years and was serviced throughout that period by the very same Toyota dealer that originally supplied it. The documentation includes the original German registration document (Fahrzeugbrief), the service book, complete owner’s wallet, instruction manuals, numerous invoices and virtually every TÜV inspection report.
The documentation provides the following mileage history:
29-01-1997 — 8 km
25-03-1997 — 871 km
19-01-1998 — 4.592 km
26-01-1999 — 8.972 km
26-01-2000 — 11.620 km
02-04-2001 — 14.200 km
30-01-2002 — 18.228 km
28-01-2003 — 21.612 km
26-01-2006 — 22.865 km
27-01-2010 — 24.676 km
26-01-2022 — 28.358 km
11-09-2023 — 28.563 km
18-11-2025 — 29.448 km
Mr. Rahm also selected a number of options from Toyota’s official accessories catalogue, including 17-inch TTE alloy wheels, wheel arch and sill extensions, as well as the bull bar and roof rails, both of which have since been removed by us but can be supplied with the vehicle. The RAV4 was further specified with metallic paint, air conditioning and a black leather interior.
In early 2025, the RAV4 was sold to its second owner in Hamburg. Despite the exceptionally low mileage, he had the vehicle serviced once again, fitted with a new set of tyres and treated with an additional preventive Tectyl anti-corrosion treatment. His intention was to keep the RAV4 at his brother’s home in Provence, but those plans were never realised. Although we were informed that the vehicle retained its original paint throughout, the colour difference on the right front wing caught our attention during our inspection. This prompted us to repaint both the right front wing and the right front door in the correct shade. We purchased the vehicle as accident-free, a conclusion we can fully support following our own comprehensive inspection.
The interior presents in exceptionally well-preserved condition with hardly any signs of wear. The black leather interior, carpets, dashboard and remaining interior trim all reflect the remarkably low mileage. Despite having received two Tectyl anti-corrosion treatments over the years, the chassis and underbody still retain sufficient transparency in many areas to allow the rust-free condition to be clearly assessed.
A first-generation Toyota RAV4 that has stood the test of time thanks to many years of careful maintenance.
