Accessories and comments
An exceptionally well-preserved Volkswagen Scirocco, originating from its first owner, Mrs. Kreifelts of Düsseldorf, born in 1912, with just 41,732 kilometers from new. The car is finished in a rare and elegant colour combination, featuring Papyrosgrün Metallic exterior paint and a brown velour interior. Equipped with only two factory options: metallic paint and a Blaupunkt radio, further emphasizing its original and pure specification.
Originally supplied by Volkswagen / Audi-dealer Adelbert Moll, the vehicle remained registered solely in the name of Mrs. Kreifelts throughout its active life, as confirmed by the original Fahrzeugbrief and deregistration documents. The Scirocco was deregistered in 2004 and subsequently entered a private collection. Due to minor paint imperfections incurred during Mrs. Kreifelts’ ownership, the exterior paintwork was refinished in 2004, with the exception of the roof, rear panel, and front.
It was precisely the quality of the paintwork, combined with the overall condition of the car, including the immaculate velour interior and the underside, that convinced me to acquire this Scirocco. The chassis, suspension, and all related components are in an exceptionally original and well-preserved condition. Factory markings and original identification stamps remain clearly visible. The car is completely accident-free and free of corrosion.
After a prolonged period of inactivity, the Scirocco has been fully recommissioned by us, ensuring it is once again reliable for use. The master brake cylinder and all brake hoses were replaced, the brake calipers overhauled and new wheel cylinders installed. The carburettor was overhauled, complemented by a new fuel tank and fuel pump. All fluids and filters were renewed, along with the timing belt and water pump. Finally, the gear linkage was overhauled.
An exceptionally well-preserved example with low mileage, originating from its first owner.
