As new, a barely used Volvo 245, first registered as a “Tageszulassung” (one-day registration) on 28 December 1990, and delivered in January 1991 by Volvo Bruckhaus GmbH in Duisburg (D) to Mr. Optenhorst. The car’s history is completely documented, from the original purchase agreement and sales invoice to numerous TÜV inspection reports covering the period up to 2019. In 2021, the car was de-registered. We recently had the privilege of acquiring this time capsule from the heir of a collector.
The estate car remains entirely in its factory-original paint. It was rust-proofed from new with a Tectyl protective treatment. The original factory-fitted tyres, bearing DOT code week 39 of 1990, are still mounted. The blue fabric interior is absolutely immaculate, no damage, no stains, and a clean, bright headliner. The luggage compartment also presents itself in as-new condition, giving the impression of never having been used. In addition to the mentioned documentation, the original folder with all accompanying manuals and booklets is present.
A Volvo 245 like this is rarely found: untouched, fully documented, and with an exceptionally low mileage.
