This incomparable Opel Rekord, equipped with the strong 2.0 110HP “Einspritzer” engine, was newly delivered in July 1984 by Motorami bil AB in Malmö, Sweden to Mr. Badics from Tyringe. With only 2 previous private owners, visible and verifiable from new anti-rust protected and in the early years even checked annually an exceptionally preserved example. Luxurious velour interior, electric door mirrors, rear headrests, power steering and central locking were part of the Berlina trim, while headlamp wipers and heated front seats were standard for the Swedish market. Also fitted at the back with Monroe shock absorbers, height adjustable by means of a built-in compressor, and a tow bar.
Immaculate interior, undamaged chassis and undercarriage, largely factory paint without significant signs of use. The mileage of only 61.092Km really shines everywhere and can be clearly demonstrated by many technical inspection reports. The present maintenance book has only been stamped once, instruction book, warranty and control certificates of the Dinol tectyl treatment and both keys are present. The spare wheel as well as the original tools were never used.
The Rekord, in that time Opel’s answer to models like the Audi 100, Renault 25 and Peugeot 505, to the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes W123/124 just to name a few.
