From 2nd German owner Spidereuropa Volumex, originally newly delivered to Mr. Schiffl from Landshut by Fiat dealer Autohaus Aufleger. Since 2019, it’s been owned by the second owner, who has heavily invested in both the technical aspects and preserving its beautiful condition.
An invoice from November 2021, issued by the company G+B Motoren for a total amount of €10,215.99 (valve adjustment, carburetor overhaul, supercharger overhaul, ignition overhaul, fuel pressure regulator adjustment, steering rack fitted with new bushings), and another invoice from Dresdner Klassiker Handel for €3,177.29 (cylinder head overhaul, new master brake cylinder, new heater valve), along with several other “smaller” invoices, show that more than €16,000 has been invested since 2020. In 2019, the entire suspension parts where disassembled, bolts and screws were yellow zinc plated, and the chassis was newly rust-protect.
The ultimate Spider version, tuned by the Abarth team, producing 135 hp and factory-equipped with a supercharger and Weber carburetors. The Volumex is also distinguished by factory-fitted Speedline alloy wheels in 7J x 15, front air-cooled brake discs with a diameter of 274mm, Carello spotlights, and electric windows. As far as we can determine, absolutely rust- and accident-free, not restored. The right door, the trunk lid, and the cowl panel were repainted at some point; the other body panels still have factory paint. Immaculate leather interior with an undamaged dashboard and convertible top with clear rear window.
With a production run of only 500 units, of which 139 were in black, this is a rarity. A top-maintained example with only 2 owners.
