Zubehör und Beschreibung
Unique, this 100% authentic Mercedes 190SL Roadster which, given its originality and the full documented history, has absolutely no competition on the current market. One-off and certainly not comparable with the instinctively in series restored examples. Coming from the 2nd. owner, newly delivered in California on Jun 29, 1961 to I.H Wagman, sold to a colleague, Dr. F. Brown, on July 26, 1963 with a mileage of only 15.825.
Completely in his first paint, especially considering the age, with only minimal traces of use / damage. Bodywork of course with perfect, like the factory-fitted gaps. Original leather interior, chairs that clearly reflect the traces of time, great door panels, carpets and rubber floor mats. The gloss of the paintwork is not reflected on the chrome parts which are matte, but in my opinion wears a charming patina. Rust-free floor panels and chassis, unaffected trunk floor and engine compartment, nothing restored, re-sprayed or coated.
A file with countless maintenance invoices, the stamped maintenance book, the instruction and dealer network book, service manuals also for the Solex carburetors, workshop manual and certainly worth to mention a handwritten “diary” by Dr. F. Brown (moved several times in the USA together with the Roadster) since his purchase which shows the history “luckenlos”.
Technically perfect functioning always maintained during his 58 years of life. As witnessed by the existing maintenance invoice with  a total amount of more than $ 20,000, an extensive maintenance was carried out in the USA, whereby the carburetors were also overhauled.
Beautiful color combination, bodywork DB158 Weissgrau and Hard-top DB190 Garphitgrau with a red genuine leather interior. Hard-top slightly bleached by the sun, original soft-top, Becker Mexico radio and third seat as factory options. The corresponding toolkit, original paint markers, present.
Irreplaceable originality, beautiful history, matching numbers and only 2 previous owners.
