The “Holy Grail” of the legendary Toyota Celica TA22, a 1.6GT DOHC in an incomparable, irreplaceable condition, and also originating from the first owner. Newly delivered in Mestre, Veneto, Italy by the then-official Toyota dealer Mario Bacchin to Seniore Crosara Mario. The original maintenance book, a copy of the Libretto, the bag with the onboard tools, and the unused spare wheel are present.
The condition of the body is unprecedented, rust- and accident free, never restored, let alone welded. The entire authentic interior with an undamaged dashboard including the original radio, door panels, carpets, and the semi-leather seats and rear bench also have no equal, showing hardly any signs of use. When purchased by us, the Celica still had the factory paint. Many paint damages, the presence of rear side marker lights, the fact that a spoiler was once mounted on the trunk lid, and a non-original left side mirror were reasons enough for us to completely sand the body down to bare metal and repaint it. The trunk, and engine compartment were not repainted. Technically properly maintained, the engine newly sealed, the suspension disassembled, cleaned, and repainted, chassis and bottom cleaned by ice blasting and coated with a clear wax layer. A complete photo report showing the work, the original condition, and many details such as the first installation of brake pads, brake shoes, and clutch is available.
Once in a lifetime condition; unique in this case is an understatement.
